Dear SRTA Member,
In the Fall, due to budgetary reasons, the division was not able to provide the usual monetary support for the Professional Development Fund. As finances from 2019-2020 school year have now been finalized, some surplus professional development funds have been made available to members, mostly that which went unused over the Summer of 2020.
The Professional Development Committee will be reviewing all applications dated back to September 8th, 2020 and approving qualifying applications under the following categories(one or the other):
University Courses (maximum $500 per member) to a maximum of $13,000,
In-Area / Webinars (maximum $100 per member) to a maximum of $2000,
On a first-come, first-served basis up to a maximum of $15,000 allocated.
If you believe you applied in the Fall once the Fund would have normally opened (September 8th 12:00am), but have not received an email from me (firstname.lastname@example.org) seeking to confirm your application, please contact me ASAP. The fund will accept new applications starting Friday January 15th beginning at 8am in the interest of giving all members a fair chance of being informed of the changes.
