Earlier this week we received an email notification about the 2018 Canadian Forum on Public Education, presented by the Canadian Teachers’ Federation.  This year’s event will focus on Safe and Caring Schools and will take place on July 9 & 10, 2018 at the DoubleTree by Hilton West hotel in Edmonton, Alberta.

There are two keynote presenters scheduled to speak.  Award-winning teacher Maggie MacDonnell will deliver a talk entitled, “Running for Resilience,” and Dr. Leyton Schnellart will speak about, “Inclusive Education as a Student-Centered Practice.”  There will also be an opening plenary on violence against teachers

Other highlights include:

  • Connecting with colleagues at the Science Soirée
  • 13 workshops on “Safe and Caring Schools”
