Good day members! Word from our friends at the Manitoba Teachers’ Society indicates that there are still plenty of spots available for the 2014 MTS Conference: Technology in Education [Awakening Possibilities] April 16 & 17 at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg. The conference includes a unique, first of its’ kind event on Wednesday night called “IGNITE”, described as an opportunity to “join our dynamic early, middle and senior years students from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, April 16th, for IGNITE! Through ten rapid-fire, informative and entertaining presentations, students will show you just how technology has Awakened Possibilities for their own learning! Both conference keynotes will be joining them and you’ll have the chance to mix and mingle afterward.” The unique aspect of these presentations are that they’re exactly five minutes long, students cannot use more than twenty slides, and the images advance every fifteen seconds. Rapid fire learning!

If you haven’t yet registered for the event and you wish to, please register at http://www.cvent.com/events/2014-mts-conference-on-technology/event-summary-40e6e1e0bcd64bdbb8239bcedbaa2abc.aspx. If you have already purchased a spot at the conference, but haven’t yet registered for your sessions, that link will also work for you. We found out the hard way that purchasing a seat (or having one purchased for you) does not always mean that you have been registered for the event, so if you are someone who has purchased your spot or are using one of the spots purchased by the SRSD, you may want to click that link just to make sure your registration has been completed.
